Joyce Ann Williams
Joyce Williams entered into the presence of her Lord & Savior on Saturday, January the 25th. She was born on December 28th, 1950, to Jay and Joy Corbitt in Sterling, Colorado. Joyce had one older sister, Judy and two younger brothers, Jay Junior and Justin. She was also very close to her maternal grandmother Gertrude, her aunt Wilma, uncle Lloyd, and their children.
Joyce married Dan Williams on June 27, 1970. They were married for nearly 44 years. God blessed their union with two wonderful sons: Daniel Jay and Joshua Scott.
Joyce graduated from North Denver High School in 1969. After raising her family, she returned to work. While working for Qwest, she resumed her education and graduated magna cum laude from Regis University in 1998. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in management. She later worked for CH2MHill and then for ARCADIS as a contracts administrator.
Joyce's interests and hobbies included reading, scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, and watching black and white movies from the 1930s and 40s.
Rarely did one ever see Joyce without a smile on her countenance and a twinkle in her eye. However, it was Joyce's inner Christian beauty and personal warmth that caused people, adults and children alike, to be naturally drawn to her.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her sons, daughters-in-law Stephanie and Andrea, and her four grandchildren: Jackson, Tyler, Tatum and Aubrey, were the delight of her life.
In addition to being a wife, mother, and full-time employee, Joyce served alongside her husband in the Christian ministry. A woman of faith and faithfulness, Joyce was tenderhearted, selfless, sacrificial, compassionate and caring. As a person of godly integrity, she was a spiritual mentor, guide, and counselor to many. In a word, she always thought of others rather than herself.
Joyce is survived by her husband Dan, her sons & their wives: Dan & Stephanie and Josh & Andrea, her grandchildren: Jackson, Tyler, Tatum & Aubrey, her mother Joy, her sister Judy, her brothers Jay Junior and Justin. She was preceded in death by her father Jay.
