Joyce Anne Doherty

Joyce Anne Doherty, 96, passed away on October 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was born in Minnesota and later made her home in Littleton, Colorado, where she and her husband, Jerry Doherty, raised their family. Joyce‘s life was a beautiful example of faith, love, and devotion. She was a woman deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and attended daily mass, drawing strength and joy from her devotion to the Blessed mother.

Family was the heart of Joyce‘s life. She is survived by her children: Chris Powell, Katy (Byron Reid), Mary Berz (Gary), John Doherty, Mike Doherty (Barb), Kelly Doherty (Catherine), and Julie Smith (Kevin).

Joyce was the proud grandmother of Jon (Liz), Joanie (Benji), David (Megan), Aaron, Dan, Lindsay (Bahaa), Danielle (Deets), Jamie, Jerome, Anthony, Rachel (Ben), Sarah (Justin), Jack, Luke, Christopher (Paige), Michaela (Eric), Zachary (Mackenzie), Taylor, Isabella, and Gianna. She was blessed with numerous great grandchildren, each a source of immense joy.

Joyce was known for her warmth, hospitality, and generosity. Her home was always open – whether hosting the Regis swim team for her famous spaghetti dinners, or gathering family, and friends for celebrations, filled with laughter and love. She also shared a creative spirit with her daughter, Chris through their fun and successful trophy business.

Joyce‘s Catholic faith, kindness, and devotion to her family have left a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Rosary followed by a mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Littleton on November 14 at 11 o’clock. Those attending are encouraged to wear an item of blue because of Joyce’s love of the Blessed Mother.
