Joyce Griffin

Joyce Griffin passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 1, 2017.
Joyce married Homer Griffin in 1948, and they had a long and happy marriage of fifty-eight years. She especially enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren. Joyce loved to bake. She, and her daughter and granddaughter spent many hours together, preparing holiday treats for her family to enjoy. She enjoyed traveling with family, and antique shopping with her youngest son. She loved playing Wii with her great grandsons.
Joyce was the loving wife of the late Homer Griffin and the devoted mother of Sharon Griffin (Kenny), Kenneth Griffin (Linda), and Donald Griffin. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Liesa Neely (Jason), Ryan Griffin, Justin Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Christopher DeAndrea and Jason DeAndrea (Melissa). Joyce was a loving great grandmother to Brooks DeAndrea and Jackson DeAndrea.
Joyce will also be missed by her niece Lynette Casey (Rod) and nephew Doug Freese ( Linda) and their families.
On April 11th there will be a visitation at 9am, followed by services at 9:30 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 South Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood Colorado. Concluding service will be at 11:30 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Contributions to Denver Dumb Friends League.
