Joyce LaDon Moran, 77, of Centennial, passed away April 12, 2016.
She was born June 25, 1938 in Maysville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Coy and Edith (Beams) Anderson. She was a graduate of Wayne High School. On June 15, 1957 she married Al Moran, of Coleman, Oklahoma in Gainesville, Texas. After their marriage, they lived in Oklahoma City, OK; Kansas City, MO and then Denver, CO since 1964.
While in Denver, Joyce worked at Van Schaack and Company, Pro-Tec Industries and over 37 years overseeing the Accounting and Human Resources department at The Denver Jet Center at Centennial Airport.
Joyce had a deep love and passion for her family and their celebration of birthdays and holidays. She loved the holiday season and would always go over the top, showering those involved to make sure every special occasion was better than the last. Joyce also had a zeal for art as she was an active collector of American Indian artwork including jewelry, hand-made pottery and complimentary works by many prominent artists. She would attend numerous American Indian markets both locally and in the desert southwest, taking extra time to meet the artists, learn about their backgrounds and understand how they created their beautiful works.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Al Moran; son, Gregory (Bridget) Moran, Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Ian Moran, Conor Moran, and Maeve Moran, Denver, CO; two sisters, Donna Williams, Purcell, OK and Diane (James) Herrin, Justin, TX. She is preceded in death by her father, Coy W. Anderson; mother, Edith Verene Anderson; and brother, Garland Anderson.
