Juana (Jenny) S. Padilla, a beloved figure in the lives of all who knew her, left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by her cherished family, on May 18, 2025. Born on September 14, 1930, in Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico, Jenny embarked on a life filled with love, laughter, and a fierce spirit that was undeniable.

Jenny was known for her loving and feisty personality, traits that captivated those fortunate enough to cross her path. Her caring nature and deep devotion to her family were evident in everything she did. She shared a beautiful 57-year marriage with her husband, Fares Padilla, who preceded her in death in 2011. Their partnership was a testament to love and commitment, and it shaped the foundation of their family.

As a mother, Jenny was a guiding light for her daughter Irene, and a source of delight and joy for her granddaughter Alicia. She took great pride in her family, relishing the moments shared over laughter, stories, and cards—whether indulging in poker, Cooncan, or a solitary game of Solitaire, her spirit for play was infectious.

Jenny found pleasure in life's simple joys, often savoring her visits to Black Hawk and tirelessly caring for her house and yard. Her home was not just a place, but a sanctuary filled with warmth and laughter; a reflection of the love she shared with both her family and her adored cats.

Jenny's journey may have come to a close, but her spirit will endure through the lives of her loved ones. The impact she had on her family and friends will forever echo in their hearts. She leaves behind joyous memories and profound lessons on love and resilience, reminding us all of what it truly means to care.

Services in honor of Jenny will be held on June 3, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro in Denver, Colorado. A rosary will begin at 1:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember the remarkable woman that she was, with a legacy of love that will live on.
