Judy L. Anderson

Judith Songer Anderson "Judy", age 71, went to live with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 18, 2013.

She was born to Paul and Rachel Songer on December 26, 1941 in Moline, IL. At about the age of 6, Judy and her family moved to Denver, CO. At approximately age 7, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior through the example of her parents and her Daddy's preaching. She was graduated from Denver West High School in 1959 and from St. Luke's Nursing School in 1962.
Judy began her career after graduation and practiced primarily in obstetrics. She met Wes Anderson and they were married in 1964. She got her PHT (Putting Hubby Through) degree while Wes finished school and then she became a full-time mother to her children, Heather and Matthew.

Judy loved and served her Lord. She was a dedicated member of Littleton Baptist Church for over 40 years, ministering in music and many other areas. She volunteered for Caring Hands Pregnancy Center, Bible Study Fellowship, and Set Free Prison Ministries. She and Wes also enjoyed traveling together.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Wes; her daughter and son-in-love, Heather and Steve; and her son, Matthew. She is also survived by her brother Paul and his wife, Barbara; and her brother Jim and his wife, Colleen. She was aunt to many much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and every child within arm's reach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rachel, her sister, Karen, and four grandchildren whom she will meet for the first time in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, Judy's family requests that donations be made to the Rafiki Foundation, P.O. Box 1988, Eustis, FL 32727-1988.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Littleton Baptist Church, 1400 West Caley Avenue, Littleton, CO at 10:00 a.m.
