of Aurora, Colorado passed away July 8, 2013. She was born in Iowa City, Iowa on March 5, 1941. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read, gamble in Blackhawk, solve Jumble, word search puzzles and cheer on her beloved Denver Broncos. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dale Fales; daughter Rhonda (Chris) O'Reilly; sisters Janet Smith, Betty Camp and Joanne (Gary) Edwardson; 5 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Pauline (Hotchkiss) Mortenson; son Brian Fales and sister June Jacobson. Karen had many friends and will be dearly missed by all.
