Katherine (Kay) Alexander, 86, passed away at her home on April 4, 2017. Her husband, Don was by her side as she peacefully went to be with her Lord.
Kay was born September 21, 1930 in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Jessie Rhinehart. She graduated high school in Chittenanton, New York in 1949 and graduated Valedictorian in 1954 from the Zion Bible Institute in Framingham, Massachusetts. Kay worked as a secretary for many years and then later owned her own business called Computer Smiles.
Kay enjoyed going to the Mountains to spend time with family. She was active in her church with different women's groups and played the organ. She loved to read and enjoyed eating.
She is survived by her husband, Don Alexander, her son Patrick (Peggy) Ryan, three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters; Pauline Williams and Lois Roess; several nieces and nephews. Her parents and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Rhinehart preceded Kay in death.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO at 11:00am with a Graveside service to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
