November 13, 1926 — April 28, 2015
Our beloved mother to 4 children, 8 grand children and 3 great grand children, Katherine Brothers Dodge, 88, beloved wife of Harry Dodge passed away on Tuesday, April 28 from a sudden heart attack while at home. She was taken to the University Hospital in Aurora.
Katherine was born and raised in Brackettville, TX with her parents, Della Rose and Edward Alfred Judge, two sisters and one brother. She was married to Dale Brothers in 1945 and lived in San Antonio TX. In 1956 she and her husband moved to Aurora, CO where they lived for over 50 years together. Her husband, Dale preceded her in death in 1995. She married Harry Dodge in 2009.
Katherine loved her family and made many friends. She loved the mountains, music, travel, dancing and animals. She was an active member of the Elks and Eagles Clubs in Aurora and St Therese Church.
Funeral services were held at St. Therese Church in Aurora and she was laid to rest at Ft. Logan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) through the Newcomer Funeral Services in Aurora CO.
