Our beloved Wife and Mother, Katheryn Mae Parker, age 85 yr, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2012. She fought a courageous battle against Alzheimer's Disease and is now with her Lord. Mom is survived by her husband of 68 yrs, Lawrence, three children, Dolores [Jim Zatarack], Andrew [Joann Parker], and Nora [Dan Pearson], 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Katheryn was preceded in death by her father, mother, 5 sisters and 1 brother. Katheryn was born on May 24, 1926 in Viola, Idaho. She was born to Emmett and Nora O'Dell, the sixth of seven children. Mom married our Dad in 1943 and became a military wife. She devoted herself to her family. She sat a beautiful table, played the harmonica by ear, enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing board and card games, embroidering and making afghans. Mom was so fun to shop with and go to the movies. She was a woman of wisdom and love. Mom is cherished by her family and friends. We will miss your great smile and gentle ways. Alzheimer's is gone and you are in heaven with clear beautiful thoughts. Mom, you will never hurt again. A special "Thank-You" to Mountain Vista Health Center and all the staff for their loving care of Katheryn. Funeral services will be held at Newcomer West Metro Chapel, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO on Tuesday, January 31st at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver CO. We will have a Celebration of Katheryn's Life following graveside services.

Reception to follow at the The Golden Hotel, Golden Vista Room, 800 Eleventh St.,Golden, Colorado 80401. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation Colorado - 455 Sherman Street, Suite 500,
