Kathleen Elsie Ritz

Kathleen Elsie Ritz, 76, went to meet her Lord on Oct 31, 2013. She was born May 31, 1937 at Cambridge, England and lived there until her marriage to her surviving husband Richard on Dec 22, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles & Elsie Briggs, brother; Robert and daughter Beverly. She is survived by her sisters Margaret Hall, Cynthia (Mike) Tierney from Cambridge, England; sons, Steven (Lahonda) and Jeremy (Dani), three grandchildren; Christopher, Abigail and Hailee, numerous nieces and nephews. As a military wife, she lived in New Jersey, at the AF Academy, Germany, San Antonio, TX, New York, finally Denver, CO. While her husband was with the USPS she again lived in New York and then back to Denver. Kathi would often befriend families who had been rejected by others in the neighborhoods that she lived in. Kathi was active in church activities, especially helping with children's programs. In 2009 she moved with her husband to Columbia, SC because of his health, but moved back to Aurora, CO when she became ill to be with her family. She was much loved and will be missed. She can now live with GOD in peace without worry and pain.


In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in her honor to the American Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
