Kathryn J. Lopez

Kathryn Jean (Lowry) Lopez passed away December 12, 2017. She was 78 years old. Kay was born in Cañon City, Colorado to Curtis and Clara (Bannigan) Lowry.
She lived in Aurora, Colorado with her daughter's family, since her husband, Conrad Lopez, Jr. passed in 2011. She graduated from Cañon City High School and Eastern College (Pennsylvania).
Kay loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was active in many American Baptist Churches. Kay and Conrad owned several restaurants throughout Colorado and a dress shop in the US Virgin Islands.
She has three children, Mark Lopez (Sihem), Cliff Lopez (Denise) and Kathleen (Lopez) Chandler (Roger), and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held December 27 at 6pm at Community of Grace Church in Aurora, Colorado. A grave-side service will be held in the spring at Mountain Vale Cemetery, Cañon City, Colorado where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 107 North 7th Street, Cañon City, Colorado 81212.
