Casey was born on August 1, 1947, in Torrington, Wyoming but grew up in Sterling, Colorado. He is fondly referred to as Kenny Brian or Kenny by his loving Uncle Larry and Aunt Glenda. He graduated from Sterling High School, he then went on to earn his Associates Degree in liberal arts from Northeastern Junior College. He was also great basketball player in both high school and college.
After college Casey went into the army where he was discharged in January of 1970. It was at this time Casey lost his daughter, Marissa who was 11 months old. After being discharged he began his working career in Denver and found a long term career with Mountain Bell. He retired after working more than 30 years in a variety of management positions.
Casey was a very social man with many friends. During the summer of 1982 Casey found the love of his life, Pam Graham. Together they traveled, loved, lived, played hundreds of golf courses and watched many, many football games. We can all say that we spent many happy times with Casey where we laughed a lot. We all met Casey at different times in his life, but I think we all agree he was hard to ignore. When Casey did something he didn't hold back.
To say Casey loved golf is an understatement, it was his PASSION! He played every month of every year for 50 years. Not only did he love golf, he loved the time he spent with his friends on the golf course. Not to mention the banter and beer after each round. He always made sure he was there for his family at the same time.
He lived 61 great years and fought through a horrific disease that he was diagnosed with in 2008. It would not stop him from going to all the CU and Bronco games and never complained or felt sorry for himself. He of course would play golf was often as he could until the very end. He fought through it every moment of every day and was intent on not letting it get him down.
He will be missed by many, many people who love him very much.
There will be a reception at 4:00pm, following the service, at Heather Ridge Golf Club.
