Kenneth Francis Conklin

Kenneth Francis Conklin , 83, of Denver, passed away January 22, 2016.

He was born July 10, 1932 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Casper and Martha (Dergins) Conklin.

He was a graduate of High School. He graduated with his Bachelors Degree from St. Ambrose College.

On April 18, 1953, he married Mary Gareis

Ken was involved in the Optimist Club for many years. He was also a member of the American Legion. Ken also enjoyed attending performances by the Golden Eagle Concert.

Ken loved to read about archaeology and enjoyed looking at Smithsonian exhibits. He enjoyed listening to Dean Martin music. He also liked to watch Dean Martin, police dramas or the Denver Broncos on TV. Above all, he loved to spend time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his Loving Wife 62 years, Mary Conklin; Three Daughters, Michelle Ellington, Kim Conklin and Sherri (Len) Hall; Two Sons, Keith (Anne) Conklin and Ron (Kelly) Conklin; Fifteen Grandchildren, Mary (Jess) Conklin, Kendall Conklin (Naomi), Ashley (Sean) Hackett, Breanne Thompson, Megan Senour, Sarah Conklin, Craig Conklin, Jamison Ellington, DaNelle Ellington, Ian (Kristine) Hall, David Hall, Ben Hall, Jacob Hall, Joseph Hall and Hyrum Hall; and Many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by Father, Casper Conklin, Mother, Martha Conklin, Son, Roger Conklin, Sister, Mara Ryan, Sister, Jackie Coder, Brother, Chuck Conklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado.
