Kenneth J. Misiewicz passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 36. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and resided in Littleton, Colorado.
Beloved son of Virginia Labotka (Richard) and Lawrence Misiewicz; loving brother of Lauren Utley (Samuel), Adam (Raquel), Matthew Labotka, Lori Labotka-Giansiracusa (Michael); adored Uncle of Allison, Jonathan, Charlotte, Doris, Lennon and Harper, as well as grandson of the late Joseph and Eleanore Winecki, the late Theodore and Anastasia Misiewicz, the late Charles and Katherine Labotka; the late Lynn Shannon – Labotka; cherished nephew of many uncles and aunts, very special cousin to many; best friend to his late dog, Cooper. Kenny will be dearly missed.
After graduating from Our Lady of Ransom School in Niles, IL in 2003 and Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, IL in 2007, Kenny went on to be a 2012 graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. After graduation, Kenny pursued his EMT Certification, starting his career as an ambulance EMT then working relentlessly in the UIC Emergency Department Forward Triage during COVID. After moving to Colorado in 2021 he continued as an EMT in the Emergency Department at several hospitals.
Kenny was a diehard Cubs fan, but he loved spending time with his nieces and nephew even more. When he wasn’t spending time outdoors, Kenny enjoyed socializing with his siblings and cousins, attending comedy shows, movies and baseball games. Cooper, Kenny’s dog and BFF, brought him great happiness and comfort.
Family and friends to gather Friday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. MST for a funeral service at Highlands United Methodist Church, 3131 Osceola St, Denver, CO 80212. The service will be live-streamed. Kenny is under the care of Newcomer West Metro Chapel, 901 S Sheridan Blvd in Lakewood [ https://www.newcomerdenver.com/obituaries ]. A Celebration of Life will be held in Chicago this Summer.
