Kirk Emerson "Captain" Franklin, 57, of Aurora, passed away November 3, 2016.
He was born July 16, 1959 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Jack and Jean (Emerson) Franklin. He was a graduate of Strasburg High School.
Kirk is survived by his sister, Caprice Dea Birnberg; niece, Samantha Birnberg; nephew, Matthew Birnberg; and great-niece, Eryn Birnberg. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Betty Jean Franklin.
