(Ralph) Larry Corbell
Larry Corbell passed away on Dec 26, 2016, at age 69 in Aurora, CO, where he lived. He was born Sep 7, 1947, to Barbara Louise (Niemann) and Ralph Philip Corbell in Champaign, IL.
He served in the US Air Force at Lowry AFB, CO, and subsequently in the federal government - first, as Business Manager with the Department of Justice's Bureau of Prisons and then with the Federal Highway Administration, Western Division in Lakewood, CO, rising to the position of Executive Officer. At his retirement, he was recognized with the FHA's Superior Career Service Award, the highest in the organization.
Larry lived for most of the past 47 years in Denver, CO. His love of, and pride in, his family gave him his greatest happiness. He liked playing golf with his daughter, Lisa and spending time with his grandsons, John David and Chase. His grandsons say he loved tinkering and fixing things, giving presents and building legos. He helped and advised his daughter as she raised her children, nurtured her family and developed her dance studios and related businesses. He enjoyed family gatherings and loved his son-in-law's fried turkey.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa Pevateaux, son-in-law Chris, and grandsons John David (11) and Chase (9) of CO; brother Terry of AZ; Aunt Dee Corbell, Aunt Jane Goodman and numerous cousins.
Larry requested no service be held and no flowers be sent.
