Larry Alexander Eirich departed this life on December 15, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. Born October 4, 1942, in Bayard, Nebraska to Mollie and Alexander Eirich. Larry graduated from Gering High School in 1960 and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He had a long career with Public Service Company of Colorado, now known as Xcel Energy. After his retirement he began a second career by starting L. E. Realty, finally retiring in 2018.
A gentle giant of a man, Larry stood 6’4”. He lived a life grounded in kindness, generosity, and quiet joy. He believed in celebrating the little things — and at Christmastime, he believed in celebrating everything. His home glowed each December with lights, garland, and ornaments collected over a lifetime, with a Christmas Tree in every room. Larry started decorating the day after Thanksgiving. For him, decorating was never about the display; it was about creating warmth, welcoming others in, and reminding everyone that love is something we make visible.
Our fondest memory of Larry’s holiday decor was his countless and ornate collection of nativity scenes. Anyone who witnessed his meticulous attention to detail undoubtedly left with a huge dose of holiday cheer and joy. His legacy is one of light – that kind that lingers long after the season ends!
Larry was a cherished son, brother, uncle and a loyal friend. He was a dedicated member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion, loyalty and lighting quick wit.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brother Harvey Eirich, sisters Norma Flores, Eileen Schnee and Cary Clough. He is survived by his sisters, Lillian Hull, Alberta Traver, and Betty Eirich; brother Dale Eirich; numerous nieces and nephews. Larry leaves behind many friends and relatives who will miss him dearly. His legacy will continue to inspire all those whose lives were touched by Larry.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 10:30 am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Aurora, CO to celebrate Larry’s life.
