Larry L. Sylliaasen
July 12, 1932 — May 31, 2013
Larry L. Sylliaasen, son of Walter and Eline Sylliaasen, was born on July 12, 1932 at Yankton, SD.
He graduated from Yankton High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years. In 1960 he married Gerri Olson of Davey, NE. He worked for Otis Elevator, State of Colorado, Safeway stores and the Isle of Capri at Blackhawk. After retirement Larry volunteered at Bear Valley Library and Fort Logan National Cemetery. He was was a member of the Atonement Lutheran church of Lakewood, the VFW, and a former Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge in Idaho Springs, CO.
Survivors include: daughter Rikke, grandsons Broderick, Even and Liam. Sister Joan (John) Snow of Sioux Falls, SD and their sons Gary, Derek and Brian. His loving companion Donna Murray and daughters Roseann and Diane. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Emerald.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 2:30 PM, Staging Area B, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
