Aurora, Colorado- Laura J. Curtis, age 54, of Aurora, Colorado died unexpectedly at her home early Saturday morning May, 17th 2014.
She was born in Bureau County on June 23rd, 1959 to Elaine and Joseph Beattie. She was married to Harold Kitchens and then later to Howard Curtis. She had worked at City Market grocery store and Wal-Mart. She was also a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints. Laura also loved the outdoors, gardening and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Elaine Lusietto of Princeton,IL and Joseph & Frances Beattie of LaMoille, IL. One son, Eric, still at home. Three daughters, Patty Kitchen of Denver, CO, Tiffany Curtis, and Cindy Montez of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by one brother, Brian (Judy) Beattie of Mendota, IL, and five sisters, Janelle (Dave) Geiger of LaMoille, IL, Denice Schmidt of Mendota, IL, Connie Stanfield of Princeton, IL, Shelley Miller and Vicki Arbuckle of Amboy, IL. She also has 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and one brother, Stephen in 2009.
Services and a celebration of her Life will be at a later date. Cremation rites are being accorded.
