LaVern James Weber, 90, of Northglenn, passed away October 26, 2016.
He was born September 16, 1926 in Sterling, Colorado, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (Miller) Weber.
He was a graduate of Sterling High School.
LaVern honorably served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. He also received the South Pacific Service Medal for his actions during the War.
On February 17, 1946 he married Florence Schneider.
LaVern was a member at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield. Before then, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley.
LaVern would never go anywhere without his wife Florence. He was entirely devoted to his wife's happiness. In fact, their relationship was so close that LaVern passed away one week to the day of Florence's passing. He was also an avid reader of Louis L'Amour novels and read them repeatedly. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
LaVern is survived by Three children, Marilyn J. (Corky) Frandsen; Randall L. (Mary) Weber and Scott M. (Cindy) Weber; Ten Grandchildren, Kori Frandsen (Troy Myal), Ian (Beth) Weber, Logan (Ashly) Weber, James (Christy) Jenson, Janette (Eric) Gradyan, Carmen (Brian Wainwright) Rhodes, Jesse (Lindsey) Rhodes, Nick (Michelle) Rhodes and Amanda Rhodes; Granddaughter-in-law, Rosann Frandsen; Twenty-Three Great-Grandchildren, Erica (Bryce) Hinrichs, Justin (Samantha) Frandsen, Noah Verspohl, Brendan Verspohl, Jake Myal, Cody Myal, Asher Weber, Kohen Weber, Bently Weber, Isabella Weber, Hadly Weber, Jack Gradyan, Kate Gradyan, Kaylee Jenson, Jaron Jenson, Josh Jenson, Kylie Jenson, Conner Jenson, Max Wainwright, Ruthie Rhodes, Zeke Rhodes, Evie Rhodes and Sam Rhodes; three great-great-grandchildren, Emmalynn Hinrichs, Ellianna Hinrichs and Daxton Frandsen; Aunt, Ada Miller and Many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Florence Weber; Parents, Louis and Elizabeth Weber; two Brothers; grandson, Jason T. Frandsen and great-great-grandson, Jayden T. Frandsen.
