LaVon M. Scott-Wilson , 89, of Denver, passed away June 16, 2016.
She was born May 21, 1927 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Thurman and Lucy (Hamm) Finn. She was a graduate of West High School.
She was a member of Southern Gables Evangelical Free Church.
LaVon loved to play cards and go bowling. She was in a bowling league this year. LaVon also enjoyed sharing God's word with anyone. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.
LaVon is survived by four children, Renae Blair, Russell M. (Kay L. Durkop-Scott) Scott Jr., Barbara A. (David ) Wade and Gregory A. (Trina) Scott; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Russell M. Scott; her second husband, C. Ross Wilson, Father, Thurman A. Finn, Mother, Lucy A. Finn, 2 sisters, Dorothy and Mildred, and 1 brother, John.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hands Pregnancy Center, 2707 W. Mississippi Ave. Denver, CO 80219 or to the Denver Rescue Mission, 6100 Smith Road, Denver, CO, 80216.
