Lawrence (Larry) Cichos, 94, of Bennett, CO passed away Tuesday, Dec 6, 2016.
He was born to the late Joseph Cichos and Hattie (Kula), April 30, 1922, in Windsor, ND.
He served in the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on Feb 27, 1946. He married Dorothy Germain on Aug 18, 1947. From this union they had five children. They lived in ND for many years. He was proud to be an independent garage owner and a devout Catholic. He truly believed in God, Family, and Country and lived his life accordingly. He moved to CO in 1979.
He was loved and will be greatly missed by: Dorothy, his wife of 69 years, four children Dennis, Conrad (Alyce), Deborah (Jerome) Maddock, Steven (Tresia), four sisters, 25 grandchildren, and 47 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, three brothers, two sisters, his son Gary, two granddaughters, one grandson, one great-grandson, and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation is Thursday Dec 15, 2016, from 5 pm to 7 pm with the rosary following from 7 pm to 8 pm at Newcomer Family Funeral Home - East Metro Chapel 190 Potomac St Aurora, CO. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday Dec 16, 2016, at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Chapel. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery Friday Dec 16, 2016, at 12:30 pm.
