Lawrence Martinez, Jr.

Lawrence Martinez Jr., 81, of Denver, passed away December 10, 2015.
He was born February 27, 1934 in Westminster, Colorado, the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Montoya) Martinez, Sr. He married Esther Tafoya on June 23, 1956 in Denver, CO. He honorably served in the US Army from 1956-1957. He worked for 47 years at Ellis/Stokes Canning Company, retiring when he was 65 years old. He loved playing the guitar, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Dad taught me to see the good in everyone. He showed me unconditional love. He appreciated every day. I will wake up every morning, look at the sunrise and hear his voice, saying its going to be a good day. I am so proud to have had a dad with such a heart of gold. He made each and everyone of us feel so special individually.
Lawrence was such a Loving and Humble Man. Everyone was so comfortable in his presence.
He is survived by his Wife: Esther Martinez; Two Daughters, Connie Martinez, Dianna (Mark ) Maes; Three Sons, Ronald Martinez, Tom (Bernice) Martinez, Ted Martinez; Six Grandchildren, Jeremy Martinez, Tommy Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Andria Maes, Kenny Maes, Alexandra Maes; 13 Great Grandchildren; Two Brothers, Mike (Rosalie) Martinez, David Martinez; Numerous Nieces & Nephews; and his Special Pet, Mugsy. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Happy Joe Martinez, Sister, Mary Margaret Sena-McCune.
