Lawrence "Roman" Maynes

IN LOVING MEMORY OF LAWRENCE ROMAN MAYNES

Lawrence Roman Maynes, lovingly known as Roman, was born on January 4, 1967, in Denver, Colorado, where he was born and raised. He joined our father in eternal heaven on September 25, 2026, at the age of 59.

Throughout his life, Roman held a variety of jobs and experienced many different chapters. However, his greatest accomplishment and the role he cherished most was being a proud father to his two sons, Roman and Dominick. His love for his children was an important part of who he was.

Roman loved his family and enjoyed being surrounded by people. He had a big heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back or the shoes off his feet to help someone in need. His generosity and willingness to help others reflected the kindness in his heart and the love he had for those around him. He cared deeply for the people in his life, and his love for family was something that remained close to his heart. His faith was also an important part of his life, and he loved worshiping God. Roman was also a proud Denver Broncos fan, and his love for his hometown team was another part of what made him who he was.

Although Roman faced health challenges and struggles throughout his life, he continued trying to move forward. His journey was not always easy, but he kept pressing on through life's difficulties.

Roman leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and memories that will be treasured for years to come. He is survived by his wife, Gwenette; his two sons, Roman (Ahliyah) and Dominick; his stepson, Jonathon; his stepdaughter, Adalia; his father, Lawrence; his brother, Derek (Mary); and his sisters, Anita and Debbie Jo (Dustin). He also leaves behind his three beautiful granddaughters, Alayna, Amelia, and Ava, who brought another special generation of love into his family.

Roman was also a beloved uncle, cousin, godfather, and friend to many. His life touched people in many different ways, and he will be remembered for his big heart, his humor, his faith, his love of family, his passion for the Denver Broncos, and the memories he shared with those around him.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Vera Maynes, whose memory and love will forever remain a part of his family's story.

Though Roman's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives he touched.

May he rest in God's eternal peace, surrounded by the love of the Lord he worshiped, while his family and friends carry his memory in their hearts forever. He will always be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
