Lea Marie Lippincott, 53, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2014 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Lea was born April 3, 1960 in Miami, Florida. She attended Epiphany Catholic School and Lourdes Academy in South Miami, Florida. After attending college at Florida State University and San Bernardino Community College in southern California, she moved to Colorado Springs, where she lived for over 20 years. She lived in Bend, Oregon for the last several years of her life. Lea loved living in the western mountains and was an avid mountain biker, hiker, and cross-country skier. Lea loved animals, and her pets included parakeets, a cockatiel, a ferret, and her treasured kitties.
Lea was a kind, thoughtful and generous person, and a strong hard worker. She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. Surviving are her four siblings: Kim Brito of Miami, Florida; Jean Clary (and husband John) of Cramerton, North Carolina; Carol Lippincott of Gainesville, Florida; Woody Lippincott (and wife Shirley) of Coral Gables, Florida; nephews Chris Hartsell and James Pyles; nieces Renee Kua (husband Stephen) and Kassandra Dosal; and dozens of caring cousins. Lea is preceded in death by her loving parents, Elwood Sr. and Margaret (Lockwood) Lippincott of Miami, Florida.
