Leah M. Burton Curtis Clark, 61. Born March 4, 1950 in Sterling, Co. She lived on a farm near Fleming, Co. Her family later moved to Padroni, Co, finally settling in Merino Co. Leah graduated from Merino High School with the class of 1968. She then attended Northeastern Junior College where she met and married James Curtis.
After a short period Leah was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Company of Denver. She started as a switch board operator and continued there until she retired from Qwest as a phone and line installer.
Leah is survived by her parents Coral and Laddie Burton of Merino, CO, one daughter Yvonne Jones and husband Gregory of Aurora, CO, and one son Laddie Curtis-Samuels of Englewood, CO. Two sisters, Avis LaFayette of Valrico, FL and Lola Rasmussen of Kearney, NE. Two brothers, Glen and Lyle Burton both of Sterling, CO. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
