The sun rose on the precious life of Leander Quinn on June 23, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, born to Elmer L. Quinn and Anna B. Keys. Leander had siblings Marchelle Sterling III and Karen.
Leander attended Manual High School in Denver, and was later employed in the construction field. Leander was a loving father to three bright children; Keona, Leander II and Kayla. His children remember him as a supportive, loving, hilarious spirit. A "go-to" man, full of life, and he was always a sharp dresser.
In later years, he was blessed with two joyous gems, his grandchildren, Dijoun Quinn (preceding Leander in death) and Natoyna Miller. These two were his pride and joy. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them. They gave him life.
A man of faith, courage and charisma, Leander lived his life with no regrets. His charm was unmatched. His presence could never go unnoticed. Leander enjoyed spending time with loved ones, and he was an amazing chess player. Always quite fashionable, this loving and loyal man will forever be missed by all who knew him. To know Leander, is to love him.
On Tuesday, December 13, 2016, Mr. Leander Quinn was called to his eternal home, to join in heaven; his grandmother, Willie Mae Smith; his mother, Anna B. Keys; his father, Elmer L. Quinn; and grandson, Dijoun Quinn.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his children, granddaughter, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
