Lee E. Muth

56, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2011. She is survived by her parents William F. and Maxine Muth, brother Garnons Muth, Aunt Betty Lou Schneider; and life long companion Sandy Wilson. She was preceded in death by brother John W. Muth, Ph.D.

Lee was born in Denver, Colorado on June 15, 1955. During her younger years, when her father worked for the Stearns-Roger Engineering and Construction Company, the family moved to a number of his assigned projects in Texas, Nevada, Kansas, New Mexico and Colorado. She graduated from Centennial High School, Pueblo Colorado in 1973. She was a member of the Honor Society with membership being based on scholarship, service and character. As an accomplished concert violinist with the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra she trained to be a concert master. She had the honor of playing in an orchestra with guest concert pianist (and comedian) Phyllis Diller. Lee graduated from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado achieving a Bachelor of Science degree, with majors in biology and botany. She was an artist in several mediums. Lee was an avid reader with extensive knowledge in a variety of subjects. She had a deep reverence for the environment and all animals and birds. She had a special affinity for manatee and owls. In 1991, she opened a small business, Kritter Komfort, with a mission to provide care and training for pets. She provided compassionate care and therapy for animals, with the majority of the care being provided for dogs and cats. Lee and Sandy volunteered for several animal rescue groups, most recently for Every Creature Counts, the largest no kill rescue organization in Colorado.

Lee's ways were of gentleness and all her paths were of peace.

There was cremation in accordance with Lee's wishes.
