Leona (Garcia) Boyd

Our beloved mother, Leona passed away early Sunday morning, June 10, 2012.
Our mother's maiden name was Leona Marie Martinez, born in Ignacio, Colorado, and later moved to beautiful Durango Colorado, though her last residence was in Lakewood Colorado, she always made a point to stay in Colorado.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Adelaida Valdez, and Serrifino Martinez, also one brother Junior Martinez. Her other surviving siblings, are one sister, Bennie Moore, and 4 brothers, Dimascio Martinez, Amadore Martinez, Leroy Martinez, and Frank Martinez.
She also leaves this world three surviving children, Yvonne B. Garcia, Jeanette M. Garcia, and Jack J. Garcia, and seven grandchildren, Bobby Montoya, Rikki Ann Vasquez, Devin and Derek Gonzales, also Chaz, Jaclyn, and Bianca. She also leaves several great grandchildren. A few are listed here, Janaie, Mikey, Jaden, Adrian, also Gilbert.

Leona loved listening to Mexican music, and in her younger years, bowling, fishing, sewing, upholstery (very good at that), and a knack for interior decorating.

She will be greatly missed, and forever loved, by all.

Viewing and service will begin at 3:00pm on Monday June 18, 2012, at Newcomer West Metro Chapel, located at 901 S. Sheridan Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80226.
