Listen to Obituary

Leroy "Lee" Aragon, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 22, 1952, in Pueblo, Colorado, Lee devoted over 50 years of his life to a remarkable career as a pipe fitter, welder, and building controls operator, tirelessly contributing as a proud member of the union. He was highly respected in his field, where his diligent work ethic and strong character shone brightly.

Lee was a man of many accomplishments. He proudly earned his associate degree through Pipe Fitters Local 208, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his craft. Yet, his proudest achievements were not just professional; they were personal. He loved his wife, Anna, deeply, having celebrated an incredible 54 years of marriage. Together, they created a loving home and raised three wonderful children—Adrian (Jamie), Dawn (Tom), and Melissa (Jose). The love he had for his family was evident in all aspects of his life.

Being a grandfather brought Lee immense joy, as he treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren: Adrian Jr., Sarai, Kristian, and Ariana. He was known for his playful spirit and enjoyed making memories with them—whether sharing tales of his youth or sharing his passion for music and engaging in their hobbies. His family will forever remember the warmth of his generosity, the strength of his love, and the laughter he brought into their lives.

Beyond the duties of his vocation and the devotion to his family, Lee had an array of hobbies and interests. He had a profound appreciation for good food, especially his favorite green chili. Weekends often found him in nature, fishing and camping, savoring the peacefulness that these moments provided. As a die-hard Broncos fan, he filled his home with the excitement of game days and cheered passionately for his team. He also enjoyed the thrill of going to the casinos and had a penchant for cars, particularly hotrods, reflecting his adventurous spirit.

Lee was known for his tough exterior, but those who knew him understood the heart of gold that lay within. He was a straight shooter, generous with his time and kindness, and possessed a distinguished presence that commanded respect from all who crossed his path. His legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering support for his family and friends.

In mourning his passing, Lee leaves behind his beloved wife, Anna; his devoted children, Adrian (Jamie), Dawn (Tom), and Melissa (Jose); his cherished grandchildren, Adrian Jr., Sarai, Kristian, and Ariana; and his siblings, Sonny, Dolores, Rudy, Jerry, and Paul. He is predeceased by his parents, Felipe and Margaret, as well as his siblings, Liz and Fred.

As we remember Lee, we celebrate a life well-lived. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will be forever etched in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
