Linda Kay Iringan

Linda Kay Iringan, 67, of Centennial, passed away May 7, 2017.

She was born March 22, 1950 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Gene and Lena (McElroy) Hecker. She attended George Washington High School. On July 5, 1969 she married Lonnie Iringan, of Centennial, Colorado.

Linda is survived by her husband, Lonnie; three children, Damien (Tiffany) Iringan, Kendra (Ryan Tomas) Iringan, and Ian (Brittany Taylor) Iringan; and sister, Gloria Mahr. She is preceded in death by her son, Devin Iringan; parents, Gene and Lena Hecker; sister, Virginia Zimmerman; and brothers, Michael Hecker and Bruce Hecker.

Linda was the wild horses she loved so much. She was devoted and endlessly in love with her husband: they were like a rider and his steed. She would carry him through any storm, anywhere. They took care of one another. When she was too weak to carry him, he led her through the dark.

Her thrill and sacrifice for her children mimicked that of a mare watching over her foal. At once fiercely protective, gentle, and playful-she taught them how to stand on their own. They always came home to her.

She could buck and rear as well as any mustang; there was no taming her free spirit. Her strength through all of life's pain and hurt was insurmountable, but she never lost her tenderness.

The tremendous sound of hoof striking the earth, the wind whipping a mane away from a regal forehead, and the flash of a Paint blending in and out with a herd were all living inside her.

Linda, your wild heart taught us what love really means, and that the world is no longer what it used to be. Run free.

'She was a friend to all who met her. A mother to all young people and living things. We were told "I'm sorry for your loss." Our reply: "I am sorry for the world's loss." You will be missed but always loved.'
