She is survived by two sons, Jonathan and Daniel Michels, their wives and 2 granddaughters.
Linda was born at St. Lukes Hospital in Denver, CO to the late Maye (passed in 2006) and Clarence (passed away in 2008) Sappenfield. The family eventually moved to Stockton, CA where Linda graduated from Stagg High School and went on to become an Administrative Assistant for an architectural firm and later for several engineering firms.
Linda's first son Jonathan was born in California and her second son Daniel was born September 20, 1973 in Colorado. Linda had many great friends through church and volunteering at her sons' schools and activities. After volunteering for several years with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps youth organization, Linda rejoined the workforce and would take vacation time to continue helping and supporting her friends.
After many years working in the engineering field, Linda left to work for Coors Brewing Company from which she retired just a few years ago. As much as she worked, Linda enjoyed spending time with her sons, daughters-in-law, and granddaughters. Her first granddaughter, Rachel, was born in June, 2006, and Kaitlyn was born in December 2008. Linda spent as much time as she could with her granddaughters; going to their activities at school and outside of school. Being a grandmother brought Linda a great joy in her life.
Linda will be greatly missed by all her friends, her son Jonathan and his wife Lora, Daniel and his wife Lori and their 2 daughters Rachel and Kaitlyn.
