Linda Felkey, 66, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on Monday, January 20th, 2014.
Linda was born on April 26th, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from West Monona High School in 1965 and went on to earn a Practical Nursing Degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1967. She was preceded in death by her father John McPherson, her mother, Florence Rasmussen and her sister Jeannie Doyal.
Linda married Dennis Sorenson in 1964 and they had one son, David Sorenson. Linda moved to Denver, Colorado in 1975 and met Roger Felkey. They married in Morrison, Colorado on July 16th, 1977 and had one daughter, Amanda Felkey. They were happily married for 37 years, until her death. She worked as a Nurse at Brighton Hospital as well as several nursing pools after moving to Denver. She moved over to the telecommunications industry, eventually retiring from Avaya Inc. in 2006.
Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband Roger; her sister Jody Persinger; her daughter Amanda Felkey, her son David Sorenson, her grandsons DJ Sorenson, Michael Sorenson, and Jake Felkey; her great-grandson Bentley Sorenson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
