Linda Susan Meighan was born on April 17, 1962, in Denver, Colorado. With a life characterized by compassion and warmth, she made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Linda passed away peacefully at rest on March 6, 2026, in Northglenn, Colorado, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and strength.
Linda began her career as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, dedicating herself to helping those in need. After the birth of her beloved daughter, Aleena, she made the heartfelt decision to step back from her profession to devote her time and energy to her family. In recent years, her vibrant spirit shone brightly as a waitress at notable restaurants, including the Briarwood Inn, The Kitchen, and Pappadeaux's, where her vivacious personality endeared her to many.
A proud mother, Linda relished her role, sharing special moments with Aleena that will forever be cherished. One particularly amusing memory recalls a time when Aleena, at twelve or thirteen, jokingly rebuffed her mother’s affectionate touch, telling her not to “touch the merchandise.” It’s a memory that still brings laughter and warmth to their hearts, showcasing the playful and loving bond they shared.
Educated with a Bachelor's Degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Linda embodied the spirit of lifelong learning. She was not only dedicated to her profession but also pursued her passions in photography. With a keen eye for nature, she enjoyed capturing the beauty of the outdoors, always aiming to immortalize the moon's enchanting presence, even if it never met her artistic aspirations. Linda’s love for animals, particularly otters—whose endearing embrace while sleeping resonated with her—reflected her loving and nurturing personality.
Linda graced the world with her sweet, funny, bubbly, and eccentric character. She had a zest for life that inspired those around her, encouraging them to find joy in the little things. Her pride in achieving sixteen years of sobriety in March each year exemplified her resilience and strength, attributes she passed on to her family and friends.
She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Aleena Meighan, her granddaughter, Isla Susan, and her siblings, Tim Meighan and Michele Sitzmann. She adored her nephew, Corey Meighan, and her grandniece, Alessia Harris, each of whom will carry her spirit forward. Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Tracy Meighan, and her beloved parents, Constance and James Meighan.
Linda Susan Meighan’s radiant spirit, indomitable drive, and love for her family and the world around her will be remembered fondly. Her warmth will continue to echo in the hearts of those she touched as they gather to honor her memory. A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro, in Denver, Colorado, on March 20, 2026. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Linda’s remarkable life and the indelible mark she has left on all of us.
