Lloyd Cordova, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, passed away on November 16, 2024 in his hometown of Denver, Colorado. Born on August 9, 1961, Lloyd was a man whose life was marked by love, laughter, and an unyielding passion for sports. He was a cherished son to Rose and Jose Cordova, whose spirits he now rejoins in eternal peace.
Lloyd was a proud father, having devoted his life to raising his beloved daughter, Charisha, along with his stepchildren, Lonnie, Josiah, and Adriana. His love and dedication to his family were evident in every aspect of his life. Lloyd took immense pride in watching his grandchildren, Amiah and Aniah, grow and thrive. They were the light of his life, and the moments spent with them were treasures he held dear.
A true sports enthusiast, Lloyd found joy in football, golf, basketball, and hockey. His laid-back demeanor, combined with his heart of gold, made him the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. Whether sharing a laugh with friends or supporting his favorite teams, his funny, loving nature brought warmth and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.
Lloyd enjoyed his camping and fishing trips annually with his brothers and sisters. They visited Carter Lake and Yampa often. Together, they've been all over Georgetown and anywhere with good fishing holes and scenic mountain views. He also loved listening to music and would frequently listen to Los Lonely Boys, The Whispers, Uncle Kracker, and many more.
He leaves behind a legacy of love within the large, compassionate family that surrounds him: his brothers Tom (Kathy), Joe, and Floyd (Debbie); and sisters Maryanne (Theresa), Alice (Don), Patsy (Jose) and Annette. Each of them carries a piece of Lloyd's spirit and memories in their hearts.
Lloyd is also remembered for the bond he shared with his nephew Jojo and his brother-in-law Alvin, both of whom have gone before him. The love they all shared will forever echo in the lives they touched.
As we celebrate Lloyd's life, we invite family and friends to join us for services on November 30, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro in Denver. The day will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM to honor the cherished memories he created during his time with us.
