Lois Louise Wolz, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world on December 8, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on October 18, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, Lois’s life was filled with warmth, humor, and an unyielding spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Lois dedicated over 32 years of her life to the telephone company, retiring with fond memories of the countless interactions and friendships she forged along the way. Known for her kindness and loving nature, she had a wonderful sense of humor that drew people in and made them feel cherished. She never shied away from a good laugh or a hearty conversation. In her family, she was affectionately recognized for her stubbornness, a trait that only added to her charm and made her all the more beloved.
Lois's heart was especially full when surrounded by her family. She found immense joy in creating memorable meals, often highlighting her famed strawberry pie that could brighten anyone’s day. The gatherings and dinners she orchestrated are cherished memories for her loved ones, testaments to the love she poured into every dish.
Before the responsibilities of family life took center stage, Lois embraced adventure and traveled the world, collecting experiences and stories that would enrich her life. Her enthusiasm for life persisted as she engaged in hobbies such as playing Bingo and trying her luck on the slot machines. She often found herself at the bowling alley, cheering on her daughter with pride as she bowled strikes, sharing in the laughter and camaraderie of the game.
Lois leaves behind a legacy woven through her surviving family: her daughter Jennifer; her cherished grandchildren Aly, Kasianna, and Karlos; and her sister Helen who recalls their adventures together. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James, whose memory she embraced until the end; her parents Fred and Josephine; and her sister Elizabeth, each of whom shaped her life in profound ways.
As the echoes of her laughter and love reverberate through the lives she touched, Lois's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a guiding light and source of joy in the lives she enriched.
