Lonnie Manuel Valdez Jr.

January 17, 1991 — March 26, 2025

Lonnie Manuel Valdez Jr. “LJ” a man whose laughter, kindness, and creativity touched the lives of so many, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 26th leaving behind a legacy of love.

Lj had had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace and joy in camping, fishing, hiking and exploring- always seeking out the beauty of nature and embracing life’s simple pleasures. He was a true foodie, finding happiness in sharing good meals with family and friends.

His artistic soul shined through his incredible wood carvings, where he transformed simple pieces of wood into meaningful works of art and would often give these as gifts. Music was also a passion of his, but more than anything, LJ loved making people laugh. His sense of humor was a gift, bringing light even on the darkest days. You couldn’t help but laugh when he did, as he had an infectious laugh everyone loved!

Lj had a heart for helping others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and generosity earned him many friends and he was someone people could count on.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany Valdez and his two children, Jeriah and Maleah Valdez who were his greatest joys. He was the beloved son of Lonnie Sr and Joann Valdez and the grandson of Leo and Beatrice Muniz. He was a caring brother to Ami Lopez (Ryan) Naomi Valdez and Dominic Valdez. He was preceded in death by his brother Nathan Valdez and his nephew Dominic “Doughboy” Valdez. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom adored him.

LJ was a friend to many, a man whose warmth, humor, and generosity left a lasting impact. His memory will forever live on in the laughter he shared, the art he created, the music he loved, and the lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
