Lora L. Bronken

Lora Lynn Bronken, 55 of Thornton, Colorado passed away at home surrounded by family and friends. She passed away after a 10 year battle with breast cancer.
She was born to Roy and Nancy Bronken in Highland Park, Illinois and grew up in Northbrook, Illinois. She graduated from Glenbrook North High School in 1976. And she received her BS of Chemistry in 1997 from University of Colorado Denver. She studied at Eastern Kentucky University, De Paul University, and Elverum Folkehogskole in Norway.
She worked at Dominoes Pizza in the 80's, King Soopers as a meat wrapper for many years, Quick Silver Courier, and at Advanced Terra Testing.
She enjoyed sports and photography and music. She loved softball, and was rarely seen without a camera in her hand. Also an excellent cook.
Lora is survived by her Partner of 21 years, Cathy Lanky; Mother, Nancy Bronken; Sister, Leslie Bronken; Brother, Barry Bronken of Deming, New Mexico; Niece, Kristina Cayado of Miami, Florida; and Nephew, Tom Bronken of Round Lake, Illinois.
Lora is preceded in death by her Father, Roy; Brother, Jeff; Nephew, John Cayado, Nieces Katie and Kristy Bronken.
Memorial Service, Friday, August 22, 2014 at 3pm, Newcomer West Metro Chapel.
