Lorraine was born and raised in Buhl, MN on Dec 3, 1924; where she grew up working in her parents Sweet Shop. Proud mother of John and grandmother of Casey, Cortnee and Cassie.
After High School she moved to Colorado, where she met and married Mark in 1952 at Lowry Air Force Base. She enjoyed living the life of an officer's wife while Mark was stationed in Japan, Korea and Philippines. Lorraine gained a great fondness of the Japanese culture.
Shortly after Mark's death, she drove herself back to Buhl before driving to Aurora with John in the backseat of the Oldsmobile. Lorraine was one of the first teacher's aides in Colorado and a teller at Fitzsimmons Credit Union. Lorraine volunteered as a clothing model at the Molly Brown House. She enjoyed dinner with family and friends including cooking her famous cruiser meatballs, gardening, walking and swimming.
At 89 years old, John took Lorraine on a road trip to see the Grand Canyon, Moab, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and Las Vegas, a trip to Minnesota and Aspen.
Lorraine appreciated those that would call and check up on her. Those phone calls meant a lot to her and John.
