Louis Joseph Hoefer, 77, of Denver, passed away June 25, 2016.
He was born March 17, 1939 in Farley, Iowa, the son of Albin and Rose (Meis) Hoefer. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Farley, Iowa. He attended California State Polytechnic College.
He served in the Air Force over seas in Wethersfield, England. In Wichita, Kansas he worked for Boeing on the B-52's. He retired from the State of Colorado Department of Revenue after 30 years of service.
Louis is survived by his children, Kathleen Polishuk, Daniel Hoefer, and Gregory (Noi) Hoefer; five grandchildren, Connor Sisler, Owen Polishuk, Sarun Hoefer, James Arnold-Hoefer, and Claire Arnold-Hoefer; two sisters, Donna Kramer and Grace (Tom) Ball; loving friend and devoted caregiver, Carol Hoefer; and the mother of his children, Nancy Allen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Rose Hoefer; sisters, Ruth Hoefer, Mary Hoefer, Madonna Hoefer, Betty Hoefer, Jean Anne Hoefer, and Eileen Arling; and brother, Irvin Hoefer.
