Louise Roberta Stringer Russell, 90 of Aurora, Colorado, formely of St. Louis, Missouri and Olney, Illinois, died, on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at 4:50 AM, in the Aurora Kindred Nursing Center, in Aurora, Colorado.
Mrs. Russell was born at home on July 29, 1921, near Vineland, Jefferson County, Missouri, the fourth child of Edward and Katherine (Marotte) Waigand.
Her second husband James E. Russell, preceded her in death, in 1981.
Mrs. Russell will be rememered for her dedication to discipleship and faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, many times leading others to Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Louise (Stringer) Bivens and husband, Ted, of Aurora, and Bonnie Loretta (Stringer) Maxwell and husband Jerry, of Cape Canaveral, Florida. Her three grandchildren: Dawn (Larkin) Brown and her husband Stanley, Sr., Michael Maxwell and his wife Barbara (Wortman), of Springfield, Illinois; and Robert Maxwell and fiancee Kathryn Aikin of Louisville, Kentucky. A fourth grandchild, Floyd Alfred Larkin III, preceded her in death. Her great-grandchildren: Stanley Brown, Jr., Carah Anne Brown, Jennifer (Maxwell) Jacobs of Springfield, Illinois, and Jessica Maxwell of Louisville, Kentucky. Also suriving her are her sister, Delores Helen (Waigand) Straley of French Lick, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews. Siblings who preceded her in death were: Lillian Grace Gillaspie, Ellinor Mabel Depper, and Edward Charles Waigand.
Funeral service, Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 10AM, with a viewing one hour prior, officiating Pastor Steve Pierson. Private interment to follow in Dillion Cemetery in Dillon, Colorado, near her beloved grandson, Floyd.
