Lieutenant Colonel Morron C. Smith (USAF Ret.), 74 passed away peacefully in Aurora, CO, Thursday September 26th, 2013.

Morron C. Smith Jr. "Smitty" was born April 7th, 1939 to Morron C. Smith Sr. and Beatrice (Perry) Smith in Birmingham, AL. He was the oldest of three, Brother Felton & Sister Julia. Smitty proudly served his country for 30+ years both in active duty and in the reserves for the United States Air Force. Once he retired from the USAF, Smitty continued working for his country at US Fish & Wildlife Department. Smitty was a proud life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Annie, his sister Julia and his son Michael and wife Kristin along with their child, Smitty's only grandchild Lauren.

Viewing will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home – East, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO 80011. Services will be held 10:00 am Friday, October 4th, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 13670 E. 13th Place, Aurora, CO 80011. The Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3695 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235- Staging Area "B"
