Lucas Frank Woods

Lucas Woods was born on August 16, 2010 at 9:52 am. He was 9.5 pounds – a big boy! On March 13, 2011 at just 6 months old he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and fought like a warrior for two and a half years. He met every obstacle, chemo treatment, fever, infection, etc. with a smile that touched and amazed each person he met. He had a light that emanated from every pore, and every one who met him loved him. Even in the toughest days, he brought joy to all around him. We will carry his light forever.

On August 18, 2013 leukemia took our boy. He was sleeping and at peace, and his mom Laura was sleeping next to him and holding his hand. Lucas fought for life to his last day, and is now released from all pain. We wish him well on his journey. We know he will continue to shine light on all he will encounter.
