Ludabelle Tuxhorn passed away on January 31, 2013. She was born April 11, 1938, in Byers, CO to Willa (Ratliff) and Nelson Pitts. She had two older brothers, John Joe and Clayton Pitts. She graduated from Byers High School in 1956 and married Ervin (Dub) Tuxhorn in Aurora, CO, on June 22, 1956. Two sons were born to this union, Richard (Rick) and Bruce Tuxhorn. They lived in Denver for fifteen years, returning to Byers in 1970. She worked for the Arapahoe Library District for twenty-five years. A member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, her hobbies included reading, flower gardening, cooking, playing dominoes, attending garage sales and was an avid Denver Bronco fan.
Survivors include husband, Ervin, of the home, sons Richard (Barbara) of Inman, KS, Bruce of Hailey, ID, two granddaughters, Allison and Madison of Inman, KS, and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and nephew, Gerald Pitts.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church of Byers, Kelver Public Library of Byers or Denver Hospice, care of Newcomer East Metro Chapel in Ludabelle's name.
