Lydia Aragon, a devoted wife, a nurturing friend, and a compassionate soul, departed from this world on October 31, 2025, at the age of 77, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on March 25, 1948, in Laramie, Wyoming, Lydia graced the lives of many with her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness.

After many fulfilling years as a custom drapery supervisor at JC Penney, Lydia enjoyed retirement, where she cherished her time managing rental properties alongside her husband, Orlando. Their partnership blossomed over a remarkable 55 years of marriage, marked by love, laughter, and shared responsibilities. Lydia's nurturing nature extended well beyond her immediate family; she formed deep connections with her tenants, whom she welcomed like family, warming their hearts with her caring demeanor.

Lydia was not only a woman of dedication but one of boundless joy. Her love for adventure was reflected in the countless camping trips she took with Orlando, creating cherished memories at beautiful locations such as Red Feather Lake and Lake McConaughey in Ogallala, Nebraska. The laughter shared during those trips and the serenity of the great outdoors fed her soul and drew her closer to the ones she loved.

A woman of many passions, Lydia found immense joy in gardening, a hobby that allowed her to nurture life through the earth's beauty. She also enjoyed sewing custom drapes, a skill she generously shared with her family and friends, wrapping them in the warmth of her love through her creations. Her sociable nature drew people to her—friends and acquaintances alike felt the impact of her genuine compassion and good humor. Lydia had a gift for lifting spirits and a profound ability to listen, making her a treasured confidante.

Lydia was particularly close to her cousin Maxine Ortega, who was more like a sister to her. Their bond, intertwined with laughter and support, exemplified Lydia's capacity for love and connection. Her cheer followed her everywhere, enchanting even those she had just met. She was a person who opened her heart and home to everyone around her, making the world a better place simply by being in it.

Lydia is survived by her loving husband Orlando, her devoted sister-in-law Virginia, her caring sister-in-law Linda, and her brother-in-law Henry (Rita). She was also a cherished godmother to Linda, Louann, Brenda, and Troy. Lydia was loved by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lydia is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Enriques and Marianita Arellano, and her mother and father-in-law, Adonelia and Joe Aragon.

As her family and friends gather to celebrate her life, the memories of Lydia's warmth, humor, and unwavering support will forever reside in their hearts. The impact she made in her community and the lives she touched will echo through the lifelong friendships she kindled, reminding all of what it means to be truly compassionate and loving. She will be deeply missed but warmly remembered.
