Manuel Gutierrez, 89, of Golden, passed away December 5, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 22, 1924 in Banquette, Texas. Served in the military from 1943-1949 and was a member of the 93rd Air Squadron in the Pacific Theatre. On August 28, 1948 he married Corinne Gutierrez in Washington, DC. Manuel is survived by his Beloved Wife Corinne; Children: Michael (Jan), Elena, Susan (Luis Balmes), Diane Montiel; Grandchildren: Alyssa, Robert, Darianne, Jennifer, Erick, Bethany, Micah; Great Grandchildren: Neal, Anthony, Ethan, Michael, William, Henry and his Godchild, Helene.
He was an electrical engineer and inventor who held numerous patents.
Memorial contributions may be made to Latin American Education Foundation Scholarship Fund of which he was a long standing member.
