Margaret "Peggy" A. Bernard, 82, of Lakewood, CO passed away August 28, 2015.
Peggy was born in El Paso, TX on October 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles Jennings and the late Wanda (McGaw) Jennings. She was united in marriage on June 12, 1950 with Winfred E. E. Bernard. Peggy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was a devoted wife, a loving, caring mother, a dedicated, skilled homemaker and a loyal friend. Those around her enjoyed her enthusiasm, her determination, her compassion for others, her creativeness and her wisdom. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing, gardening, painting and various arts and crafts.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Wanda Jennings, her husband Winfred Bernard, brothers Norman Jennings, Thomas Jennings, and sister Janice (Jennings) Sweeney. She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Michael) Krzus of Sugar Grove, IL, Janna Bernard of Chicago, IL, Carol (John) Urban of Gold Canyon, AZ, Alyson (Robert) Buchanan of Golden, CO, Winfred E.E. Bernard Jr. of Odessa, FL, and Charles Bernard of Lakewood, CO. She is also survived by grandchildren Kassia (Krzus) Shaw, Christopher Krzus, Brandon Pettit, Aaron Pettit, Nicholas Buchanan, Ryan Buchanan, Tiffany Rhodes, Elliott Bernard , Hanna Bernard, Tyler Bernard, Delaney Bernard, and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother-in-laws Donald Dunham and Jack Hart, and 25 nieces and nephews. Lastly, she is survived by her life-long friend Francis Evans.
Peggy's memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10th at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, 9444 Eagle Cliff Rd., Conifer, CO 80433 and immediately followed by an interment ceremony for both Peggy and her husband Winfred at Olinger Mount Lindo Cremation Nature Garden & Mausoleum, 5928 S. Turkey Creek Rd., Morrison, CO 80465.
