Marianne Funk
1934 – 2013
Passed away on January 7, 2013 at the age of 78. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 17, 1934 to Mark and Vaveta Marie Cook. The family moved to Colorado when she was 16 years old where she attended East High School in Denver and one year of college in Greeley, Colorado.
Marianne married Robert Arnbrecht on June 28th, 1953 in Greeley. They had two children. On February 15th, 1975 she married Ronald Funk and they lived in Aurora, Colorado.
Marianne was preceded in death by her father, Mark Cook, her mother, Veveta Marie, her brother, Mark Cook, her sister, Marlene Westbury. She is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Funk, sister, Marilyn Coker, sons, Michael W. Arnbrecht, James E. Arnbrecht, Roy E. Funk, and Lonnie R. Funk, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marianne was an active member at Bethel Lutheran Church in Aurora Colorado. Marianne was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 50 years and she was a long standing member of the Red Hat Club. She loved to dance, sing, and scrapbook. She traveled extensively and loved to bowl. She loved animals and was a long term contributor to the Dumb Friends League.
Marianne was a happy, generous person who loved life. She will be dearly missed.
