Marie F. Gibson, 58, of Aurora, passed away January 25, 2016.
Born November 29, 1957 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of W. Russell and Mary (Milder) Gibson. Marie graduated from Englewood High School and the University of Northern Colorado.
Marie is survived by her wife of 35 years, Julie Clark; father, W. Russell Gibson; two sisters, Eileen (Jerry) Krom and Nancy (Keith) Johnson; father-in-law, Forest Clark; a sister-in-law, Patty Sonnleitner; two brothers-in-law, Tom (Gail) Clark and Steve Clark, nine nieces & nephews, Dean (Erin) Krom, Sandy (Jimmy) Bauer, Amy Johnson, William Johnson, Dan (Arlene) Sonnleitner, William Sonnleitner, Chris (Ash) Sonnleitner, Bryan (Heather) Clark, and Sonya Clark and best friends Sharline Donaldson, Beckie Joyce, Terry Rendler and Pam Miles. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Agnes Gibson; sister, Linda Gibson-Schuemann; brother, William Gibson.
Her life is celebrated through the love of family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. Marie's adventurous spirit was contagious and led her to try skydiving, bungee swings, zip lining, hot air ballooning, ATVs, snowmobiling and emulating Mario Andretti.
Although she enjoyed her adventurous side, she also loved relaxing at the beach in flip flops and sipping margaritas. Marie would spend hours soaking in the hot tub. Cruising the high seas was another favorite pastime.
Marie's caring and altruistic nature will be greatly missed by all. She truly looked to find the good in everyone.
